Cancer Support

Acupuncture is safe and effective for treating many of the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation including nausea, vomiting and fatigue.

Studies show acupuncture may be helpful in your post-operative recovery or for minimizing the muscle & joint pain or peripheral neuropathy commonly associated with treatment.

Acupuncture is also safe and helpful for decreasing hot flashes caused by hormone therapies and several studies show it is effective in alleviating dry mouth from radiation.

Our holistic approach to cancer care will help to support your resiliency, quality of life and sense of well-being. Your appointments will always include compassionate consideration of your heart/mind/spirit and address any possible symptoms of anxiety, depression or insomnia.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness programs have been offered to cancer survivors and their loved ones in hundreds of medical centres, hospitals and clinics worldwide.

Research has shown that mindfulness can help improve your quality of life and aid you in becoming an active participant in your own recovery. Mindfulness has been shown to help patients cope with feelings of:

  • Loss of control
  • Uncertainty about the future
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Fear of cancer recurrence
  • Physical symptoms like fatigue, pain, and sleep disturbance
