Neck Pain

Neck pain is increasingly common and can feel debilitating. It can occur for a variety of reasons, including postural strain, stress and anxiety, muscle imbalances, joint irritation, nerve compression, chronic diseases, or whiplash and concussion injuries. Neck pain may be accompanied by muscle spasms, radiating pain, and headaches.

Symptoms of neck pain:

  • Reduced range of motion
  • Weakness
  • Difficulty shoulder checking
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Pain radiating into head or shoulders

Treatment for neck pain includes strengthening the neck and shoulder girdles, improving flexibility and mobility of the neck and upper back, calming the central nervous system, dry needling, manual therapy, soft tissue work, and addressing desk ergonomics.
