Flora Perritt

Flora Perritt (she/her), holds a diploma of massage therapy from Camosun College in Victoria, BC. The over 300 treatment hours in her training included time at the Parkinson’s Wellness Program, Camosun College public clinics, New Roads Rehabilitation Centre by Our Place Society, and the Athletic and Exercise Therapy clinic for senior survivors of cancer and cardiac ailments.

As well as being available for the general public, she would like to give an extra loud callout to intersex and gender diverse Queer folks of all ages who are seeking a therapist who understands and appreciates the wide range of bodies and genders that exist.

Flora begins her appointments by listening intently to and matching clients’ ambitions, honouring comfort levels, and tailoring the treatment to patients’ needs.

Flora enjoys incorporating education and client involvement into her treatment. She incorporates myofascial work, scar treatment (including post surgical scarring) and massage to complement therapies for pelvic floor conditions, particularly for pain or contracture for conditions such as vaginismus.

Flora dove into the world of massage therapy because it was her hobby and she loved the unique comfort and connection that could be created in the sanctity of the treatment space. She also wanted to rally people to be confident, inquisitive and proactive about seeking healthcare by being an involved participant in their morphing, moving, complicated and fascinating bodies.

A passionate speaker on trans and intersex health, she is also an enthusiast of wild places, hiking, reading, and creating art.

Our massage provider, Flora, has a diploma in massage therapy and is in the process of becoming registered in BC by late fall of 2023. In the interim, she provides wellness massage for relaxation. She is currently accepting patients who do not have injury claims from a workplace or motor vehicle injury, and who are not looking to use extended health benefits.

“I have found massage to be very helpful for muscle pain and tension associated with frozen shoulder and related back and neck spasm. Massage therapy relieves the tightness and encourages deep relaxation both physically and mentally. It has been a great addition to my treatment plan”
