Rachelle Goulet BA, R.Ac
Rachelle (she/her) completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the University of Alberta, before moving to Victoria to follow her dream of becoming a health care provider in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She graduated four years later from the Canadian College of Oriental Medicine, with a diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Rachelle has been a registrant in good standing with the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in the province of British Columbia, since 2006.
While establishing her general acupuncture practice over the past six years, Rachelle has treated patients with a wide range of concerns. Throughout this period, she has also had the opportunity to study with experts from around the world. Rachelle’s post-graduate years have allowed her to further her training and acquire considerable experience across a broad spectrum of health-related issues, including gynaecology, reproduction, musculoskeletal, neurological and aesthetic.
Rachelle is passionate about women’s gynaecological issues and reproductive health. She has undergone extensive post-graduate training in this area. Among others, her teachers have included Bob Flaws, Jane Lyttleton, Heather Bruce and Jean Levesque. She brings significant knowledge to her practice in the treatment of women seeking care for a range of issues including gynaecological disorders, infertility, gestational discomforts and post-partum relief. She has also worked closely with the Victoria Fertility Centre, using acupuncture to treat and support Dr. Hudson’s patients undergoing assisted reproductive techniques. Having completed her Doula training, Rachelle has had the opportunity to provide support for many pregnant and labouring women.
Rachelle has treated a variety of acute and chronic musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. She uses traditional acupuncture and in some cases western-influenced acupuncture, specifically motor-point needling, to affect pain and create a better standard of living for her patients. She has studied under Matt Callison, the developer of Sports Medicine Acupuncture.
Rachelle also has a keen interest in the rejuvenating effects associated with acupuncture. Rachelle has studied under Virginia Doran, the leading expert in Facial Rejuvenation acupuncture. She had the opportunity to act as a teaching assistant to Virginia while she was lecturing in Victoria.
Rachelle is committed to helping patients achieve improved health and wellness through implementing the practices of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Rachelle is a mother of two. Her children keep her on her toes and fill her with life and love.
