Cathy Whalen, Receptionist

Cathy (she/her), a graduate of the University of Victoria, had an administrative career in private post-secondary education before choosing to stay home to raise her 2 children.

Cathy joined the Elements of Health team as Administrative Assistant after a recommendation from a friend who described Stephanie Curran and her Clinic as “amazing, wonderful, and really, really special.”

Providing quality Customer Service has always been Cathy’s favourite part of an administrative job. Elements of Health Centre’s care and treatment of each client’s individual needs suits Cathy’s own goal of making everyone she greets feel comfortable , relaxed, and respected. Cathy enjoys the calm, peaceful feeling of the Clinic even on the busiest of days.

Cathy enjoys volunteering at her children’s school by helping with events and driving for field trips and sports teams. Walking her dog is her favourite way to start the day. One of the benefits Cathy has gained through her experiences at Elements of Health is in learning to turn the chore of pulling weeds from her garden into the pleasure of an opportunity for Mindfulness. And, like the weeds in her garden, with awareness comes lots of opportunities for Mindfulness.

“Acupuncture was a source of renewed energy for me and the Chinese herbs were provided in such convenient packages.”
